It’s no exaggeration to say that this year has been freaking BONKERS.
While we are all grappling with a pandemic and a world that seemingly becomes less tethered every time we turn on the news, for couples like Taylor and Danny who found themselves wedding planning amidst the pandemonium, things have been doubly as complicated.
But let me tell ya what: it’s couples like the gorgeous pair featured in today’s post that keep reminding this photographer to not dwell on the negative and keep rolling with the punches. Originally planning on a big wedding out east next year, Taylor and Danny - semi-new Chicago transplants - decided to scrap their plans still shrouded in uncertainty, relocate and downsize.
What they didn’t compromise on was style, heart and fun.
What an incredible wedding!
Surrounded by those they love most, these guys shared a gorgeous first look on La Salle Street Bridge before heading to Lincoln Park for some pre-ceremony photos. They then tied the knot and celebrated at the oh-so-elegant Gibsons Italia along the Chicago River. Taylor’s two cousins who live far away couldn’t make it (thanks, Covid) but still managed to do an incredible job officiating the ceremony over Zoom. Candlelight, sweeping vistas of Chicago, incredible food, happy tears. In a word, it was perfect.
Thank you so much, Taylor and Danny! I’ll always be grateful to have been there to capture your amazing wedding day <3.
