SHEESH.
These two are absolutely rad.
When the forecast changed drastically a couple of hours before their engagement session, I shot them the “It’s totally your call!” text, giving them the option of rescheduling should they not be up for battling what was almost certainly going to be a wet and windy photoshoot. Much to my delight, the dashing Chansler and his beautiful fiance, Julia, were totally game. They were ready and willing to brave the elements with me and for the love of all that is holy am I grateful they did!
Bravery can really pay off. The rain started off as a soft drizzle when we began our session at the Chicago Art Institute and slowly intensified as we headed towards the lake. From Lincoln Park’s beautiful South Pond, Chicago’s famous Honeycomb sculpture and North Avenue’s stunning beach and pier, this beautiful city of ours would have totally stolen the show in it’s dramatic shroud of rain clouds had Chansler and Julia not been so full of that beautiful energy they brought to the table.
