There’s one very important word that is sometimes omitted from the “wedding experience”.

Sure, the gorgeous flowers, the fabulous dresses, the delectable food and age-old traditions are incredible in their own right, but for this photographer, one of the most powerful words you can associate with a wedding day is family.

And let me tell ya, Linda and Carter’s elegant Cress Creek Country Club wedding last summer was all about the love, all about the family and all about the feels.

Linda is gorgeous and she absolutely beamed from within the morning of her August wedding. Her dashing groom, Carter, had a sweet basket of all of her favorite things delivered to the bridal suite as she and her bridesmaids got ready along with a love letter.

There was so much energy flying around that lovely venue located in the west suburbs of Chicago that morning. You see, this was not only going to be the day that Linda and Carter were going to pledge to belong to each other forever, this was the day that would officially make Carter, Linda and her adorable young son Aiden family.

After their stunning first look under the golf course’s beautiful weeping willow trees (seriously, you have to scroll down and check it out!), the happy couple exchanged their “I do’s” and conducted a beautiful sand ceremony symbolizing the unification of Linda, Carter and Aiden.

The whole day was capped off with some gorgeous sunset photos (I looove them) followed by some sweet moves on the dancefloor.

Guys, this wedding was one for the books. Romance. Happy tears. Beautiful people.
