Now, don’t get me wrong, My wedding day three years ago was amazing and lovely and all of the things one would hope their wedding will be.
Yes, Maura….but was it in an old Firehouse, you may ask?! Nope. Sadly, there was nary one fire pole to slide down.
Allow me to explain.
Jessica and Geoffrey were married in one of the most unique venues the city of Chicago has to offer. Firehouse Chicago has been beautifully transformed into a space that perfectly balances elegance, whimsy and a healthy dose of quirkiness while maintaining it’s historic integrity and paying homage to it’s past.
Geoff and Jess had personal little touches in every nook and cranny, from their suitcase card box, to the photos chronicling their love story strewn about. And the taco truck. Guys, the taco truck!
In short, their day was wedding photographer heaven.
It was the perfect place for this wonderful couple to make it official. After ten years of friendship and cross-country long distance love, their joy was absolutely mirrored in those who love them most as they gathered together to celebrate this wonderful young couple. And when they slid down the fire pole…well…..scroll on down to check it out for yourself!
Congratulations, Geoff and Jess - thank you for allowing me to capture your day!
