Everybody who knows me knows that I’m a total sucker for a good love story. I love learning about the couples I’m lucky enough to work with (how they met, how they popped the question, etc) and let me tell ya, Kate and Jake’s story is just so. darn. SWEET. It checks all of the boxes:
They grew up in the same small town, went to the same high school and even knew the same people but somehow their paths just never crossed (intrigue!). It wasn’t until well after high school that these kids connected………..and the rest is history. They now have a home together in the same small town that they both grew up in. I mean come ON, guys! How can you not love this love story?!
Kate and Jake’s New Years Eve wedding was everything a NYE wedding should be. It was held at the gorgeous White House (no, not the one on Pennsylvania Ave!), a stately old mansion on the main street of Barrington. It was decked out in holiday finery which really set the tone for this lovely affair. Kate looked incredible in her satin gown (with the most amazing big bow on the back!) and elegant chignon. Lush, muted greens, golden candlelight, soft white roses nestled into gorgeous golden vases and urns, everything about their day was elegant, warm and so much fun (that’s where the Harry Potter wands come into play……!).
It was such an honor capturing this amazing event for this amazing couple. Congratulations, Kate and Jake! Scroll on down to check out some of my favorite moments from their day.
