Woah.
I cannot believe how crazy busy this season has been. Thirty four incredible weddings, three proposals and about a million engagement sessions later, beneath the exhaustion and endless editing is an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
I feel like gratitude is a “buzzword” these days, overused and under appreciated (a-la #blessed) but guys, I am so. Gosh. Dern. Grateful to each and everyone of my amazing couples, families and all of the folks who have graced my camera with their presence. I spend my days doing what I love most. I literally jump out of bed at 5:30am because of how excited I am to dig into all aspects of my business: answering a seemingly always full inbox, editing sneak peeks and galleries (a time consuming but creatively exhilarating part of the “job”) and, too rarely these days, writing posts such as this one.
So here I am playing blog catch up!
Now, where to start?! Why with Noelle and Brett, obviously.
This lovely couple tied the knot back in August and, despite rainy skies that ultimately gave way to sun right in time for their ceremony, nothing could put a damper on the joy of this incredible day.
Noelle.
Apart from being the obvious (um. GORGEOUS), Noelle was a dream bride. Rain aside, her wedding day was also the weekend of the Chicago Air and Water Show so one of her absolute must-have locations was closed (gah!) on the big day. Luckily, we figured this out the week before the wedding and came up with a plan B.
This truly was a blessing in disguise (and the proof is in the photos below!). We swapped the lakefront for the Chicago bridges, stunning Humbolt Park and the always cool industrial west side and had an absolute ball with their hilarious bridal party.
Check out some of my favorite photos from Noelle and Brett’s amazing day.
Congrats, you crazy kids! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your fabulous day!
