After a dizzying and wonderful summer/fall season, I’m fully recharged and – for the love of all that is holy – FINALLY catching up with my blog posts which had been neglected due to my prioritizing my incredible couples and the wonderful images we create together!
Marta and Jeff were married on a perfect day in August. Marta’s dress was b-r-e-a-t-h-t-a-k-i-n-g. The elegant drama of the pattern and train of her gown was echoed in her incredible, elegant bouquet by Details in Bloom and this photographer was in heaven.
Marta and Jeff are perfect for each other. A laid back couple who loves to travel and laugh together, these guys were an absolute blast to work with and I couldn’t be more excited about finally sharing some of my favorite moments from their day.
Their downtown Chicago riverside venue – aptly named Rivers Restaurant – has to be one of my new favorite Chicago wedding venues. The string lights reflected in the Chicago river below, the gentle hum of city traffic across the way and the boats passing by the al fresco dining area make for the perfect summer city wedding spot. It truly makes you appreciate the history, the elegance and the beauty of our amazing city.
