Holy guacamole.
Kelsey and Miles have officially begun their life together as a married couple and I was lucky enough to be there and capture the action.
Not only was their wedding breathtaking (featuring the incredible Bond Chapel on the grounds of UChicago (this lovely couple’s alma matter) and the Signature Room of Hancock Building fame) but it was also so far beyond sweet it would give even the most hardened of us a toothache (of the best variety, of course!).
Kelsey and Miles met during their freshman year of college on the gorgeous campus of University of Chicago. Built to resemble Oxford and Cambridge at the turn of the 20th century, you truly feel as though you’ve been transported from Middle America to jolly old England. The Bond Chapel, where they opted to tie the knot, is absolutely breath.take.ing and I implore you to poke your head in (and up!) should you find yourself wandering the grounds of this fabulous campus.
Though they now reside in Boston (on account of the fact that they are - in addition to being lovely and adorable -geniuses and one of them is currently enrolled at MIT. Yes, THE MIT), they exchanged their Chicago vows in front of those they love most on a chilly day in early March before triumphantly leaving the chapel as a married couple and out into a celebratory hail storm of rice. After wandering the grounds with them and capturing the first moments of their marriage in the setting where their love story began (okay, all together now: “AW!”) we hightailed it downtown and up to the 95th Floor of the iconic Hancock Building to celebrate their marriage.
Their Classic Chicago wedding featured crooning jazz, sweeping views of one of America’s greatest cities, gourmet food and a serious dance party that topped off this amazing day perfectly. I could not be more excited to share some of my favorite moments below.
Congratulations, K + M and thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your perfect day!
