Chicago truly is one of the most romantic cities in which to get married.
Its stunning skyline, world-class architecture and sparkling lakeshore (and freaking ridiculous food scene) are just some of the many reasons I adore being a photographer in this beautiful place.
Take Madeline and Jesse’s wedding day, for instance. Not only were they blessed with PERFECT September weather, their stunning venue, Chicago’s Gwen Hotel provided the perfect backdrop. Elegant and right smack dab in the middle of town, these guys took every advantage of the changes Covid forced them to make to their original plans. While they had to make the very difficult decision to downsize the guestlist, this did allow for them to have a party intimate enough in order to exchange vows on the terrace of a fabulous suite. And the VIEW, you guys!
Some of Chicago’s most famous buildings (I see you, Hancock) and a little glimpse of Lake Michigan truly made their sweet and intimate ceremony and reception absolutely, perfectly “Chicago”.
