An amazing friend of mine reached out about scheduling an engagement session as her gift for her newly engaged niece and nephew-to-be and from that moment on, I knew that I was going to love these guys (hey – it’s in the genes, right?!).

Gabrielle and Bryan are – in a word – lovely.

The Odyssey Chicago River Cruise is an AMAZING option for a smaller wedding! Can’t decide on which fabulous view of the city you’d like to gaze at on your wedding day?! Never fear! Just hop aboard the Odyssey and you and your guests can feast your eyes on all of Chicago’s most incredible spots.

Morgan and Zoltan’s wedding day was INCREDIBLE.

That’s everyone’s knee jerk reaction when the weather forecast is less than ideal when planning on heading outdoors for a photoshoot. But I promise, promise, promise you that all is not lost when rain is on the radar! All you need are a few light-friendly umbrellas and photographer up for the challenge and the results can be Ryan-Gosling-confessing-his-love-for=you-in-a-rainstorm romantic!

There’s one very important word that is sometimes omitted from the “wedding experience”.

Sure, the gorgeous flowers, the fabulous dresses, the delectable food and age-old traditions are incredible in their own right, but for this photographer, one of the most powerful words you can associate with a wedding day is family.

And let me tell ya, Linda and Carter’s elegant Cress Creek Country Club wedding last summer was all about the love, all about the family and all about the feels.

Brea and Ernie are truly a wonderful couple. Quiet, sweet, kind, hilarious and obviously absolutely enamored with each other in that slow-burning, let’s-go-the-distance kind of way that made their wedding day an absolute joy to be a part of. They’ve known each other forever and their shared history gives their love story that much more gravitas.

This gorgeous duo have a timeless romance about them. As we strolled along the Chicago River reflecting shimmering city lights in it’s freezing waters, they told me all about their love story and let me tell ya, I’m just smitten.

Marta and Jeff are perfect for each other. A laid back couple who loves to travel and laugh together, these guys were an absolute blast to work with and I couldn’t be more excited about finally sharing some of my favorite moments from their day.

Their downtown Chicago riverside venue – aptly named Rivers Restaurant – has to be one of my new favorite Chicago wedding venues. The string lights reflected in the Chicago river below, the gentle hum of city traffic across the way and the boats passing by the al fresco dining area make for the perfect summer city wedding spot. It truly makes you appreciate the history, the elegance and the beauty of our amazing city.

The thirty five amazing women who made up my bridal squad in 2019 are all very different from each other, but they all had one thing in common: one heck of a fierce bouquet game and incredibly talented florists.

I’ve rounded up some of my absolute favorites (which was impossible) and loosely categorized them in hopes of helping all brides-to-be nail down their dream wedding flower vision as they enter the exciting and sometimes overwhelming world of wedding planning!
