You know that wonderful feeling you get after spending a long summer day with really, truly goodhearted, hilarious and genuine people? Well let’s say you spend that day in a secret garden in the middle of a giant city surrounded by MORE really, truly goodhearted, hilarious and genuine people, BBQ, champagne and a dance party that can only be described as the stuff of legends (it has inspired me to conceptualize a new television show in the vein of Dancing with the Stars: Ultimate Horah Challenge. But I digress).

I have been wanting to throw this wedding up on the blog since I got in my Uber at the end of that amazing night when Danyel and Jordan made it official.

This wedding was fun. Like, ridiculously, hilariously, off-the-charts fun. It was held on a gorgeous August afternoon in one of my new favorite Chicago wedding venues, the Pilsen Secret Garden. Tucked behind a beautiful, ivy covered red brick wall is this stunning little sanctuary you would never guess was there in a million years.

Now let’s talk Danyel and Jordan. They are without a doubt meant to be together. Their easy-going relationship definitely set the tone for their wedding day. Relaxed, sweet, full of laughter, their gorgeous garden wedding was truly representative of who they are as a couple.

Danyel looked stunning in her elegant gown that I could only pull off if I was maybe thirteen years old again, but this beauty looked like a flibbing super model. And she’s just about the nicest person on the planet. I know. I know.
