katie & adam - a morton arboretum wedding
Wow.
I cannot believe that the time has arrived to put the grande finale of Katie and Adam's engagement journey up on the blog! After capturing their engagement photos, bridal shower and rehearsal dinner over the past year, all of which culminated a gorgeous wedding last month, it's hard to fathom that we're finally at the end of this beautiful journey (and yes, Bachelor fans: I do realize that I'm sounding more and more like Chris Harrison as time goes by)!
At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious, time really does fly, guys. I first had the pleasure of meeting Katie and her new husband Adam last summer during their engagement session and before I even pressed the shutter button, I was already very excited for their wedding next summer. And lemme tell ya why.
Katie is one of those rare characters who radiates light, joy and INCREDIBLE attention to detail. She's sweet, she's smart and she is a very, very stylish lady. When she asked if she could bring their "baby" (a tiny, adorable pup) to their engagement session AND brought her its own FLOWER CROWN.......well, let's just say #engagementphotogoals right here. You know that she was the kid in class who always killed her presentations. And her creativity and sense of fun certainly translated to her and Adam's beautiful wedding day!
Adam truly is the perfect complement to Katie. He's very polite, funny and obviously completely smitten with his new wife (this goes both ways). The combination of all of these amazing traits - combined with the fact that they're both gorgeous (duh) - made them the dream couple to work with over the past 12 months or so and I am SO excited to share some of my favorite moments from their beautiful wedding day at the Morton Arboretum. The weather may have tried to throw a wrench in their plans, but these guys didn't miss a beat. It was a perfect day full of so much love, so much beauty and a very impressive display of athleticism from the newlyweds....it just couldn't have been more wonderful to capture.
