chelsea & joe - A hickory hills golf course wedding
Capturing Chelsea and Joe tie the knot last month was extremely special for a variety of reasons. Sure, it was a day so full of love that I found myself fogging up my camera on more than one occasion. Yeah, it was set in the gently rolling hills of Hickory Hills golf course in upstate Wisconsin on a GORGEOUS (if a little warm) day in late May. And yes, the bride and groom cut their cake with a sword. I repeat: WITH A SWORD.
But the fact that this bride and I go waaay back (is it really ten years :-0?!) was just the icing on top of that sword-carved cake of a day. Despite both being native Wisconsinites, Chelsea and I actually met at college in Ireland back in 2008 and hit it off right away. General chaos ensued and we shared some pretty sweet adventures (my favorite of which being running around the streets of Barcelona together. Or surfing in the freezing waters of the North Atlantic. Or being chased by yaks in the grounds of a rural five hundred year old mansion. Just to name a few).
She and her amazing husband, family and friends celebrated the beginning of their new life together in true Chelsea style. It was beautiful. It was hilarious. It was absolutely perfect. Scroll on down to check out some of my favorite moments from the day.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. DeMarre! Thank you for allowing me to capture your incredible wedding day. Chelsea, let's go for pints soon. x
