In lieu of the traditional engagement session, the beautiful Claudia asked me about doing a post-wedding day session and I was ALL about it. After capturing their stunning wedding day at the Exmoor Country Club earlier this summer, I was lucky enough to rendezvous with these two downtown to have a chilled out, super fun portrait session in some of Chicago’s most beautiful spots.

Who knew that only a few short hours drive from Chicago such an absolutely stunning place exists!

Christine and Zach had the most heartfelt, sweet and romantic elopement this year at Galena’s incredible Eagle Ridge Resort and you guys. THE COLORS.

One of the most common questions I get from my lovely brides is , “Where should we take our engagement/wedding photos?!”

Kristin and Spencer are two of my 2020 Warrior Couples. Despite the lunacy that was hurled at them during their wedding planning, these guys dug in their heals and were determined to marry each other this year, no matter what that celebration looked like.

Get ready for the sweetest, most romantic winter proposal this side of the Mississippi. Chicago’s beautiful skyline from Lincoln Park’s famous Honeycomb provided the dreamiest backdrop to this lovely couple’s beginning of forever!

Since Chicago has a tendency to be fuh-REEZING in the winter time (helllo, Chiberia!) these guys opted to do a cozy at home session with just the two of them and their sweet pup and the results are heartachingly precious.

The First Look is a special moment carved out of your action-packed wedding day to see your betrothed prior to walking down the aisle. It’s the time when you can forget all about the running around, the planning, the stressing and all of the other crazy and wonderful things that we experience in the run up to our wedding day, look into your almost-spouse’s eyes and let that “Oh holy cow, we’re getting married like……today!” feeling wash over you and truly soak in the excitement and magnitude of taking this big leap together. It’s a really powerful, intimate, often hilarious and always super sweet moment that a couple can enjoy together that’s all their own.

Wedding days are all about the joining of two lives and I can’t think of a day that more beautifully blended the identities of two individuals more than Javid and Carrie’s amazing wedding.

These guys – like SO many others – found their wedding day plans in the crosshairs of the dreaded ‘ronavirus and had to change venues literally a week before the big day! But I tell you what – I would’ve had absolutely NO idea had they not been keeping me updated!

Chicago truly is one of the most romantic cities in which to get married.

Its stunning skyline, world-class architecture and sparkling lakeshore (and freaking ridiculous food scene) are just some of the many reasons I adore being a photographer in this beautiful place.

Elizabeth and David’s STUNNING wedding-at-home this past summer was straight of that classic. Set in the parents of the bride’s beautifully landscaped back yard in the Chicago suburbs, this tented affair was elegant, sweet and full of so much joy.
